Since the Rockford Icehogs have joined the AHL, it stands to reason that they too have released their new schedule for the new season.  Unfortunately, they don’t have it printed out nicely on their site like the Wolves did.

It seems to me, as I look at the schedule (available at www.icehogs.com), that their season starts against Quincy on October 6.  They don’t have a home game, however, until November 2.  I am guessing this may have something to do with remodeling and reconstruction work going on at their home arena, the Metro Center. 

The cool thing about the Icehogs is that not only can you listen to their games online through their website, but you can also view games just like you would on television through their website as well.

The move to the AHL and becoming a farm team for the Chicago Blackhawks I think is a good move for the Icehogs.  I look forward to their new season and hopefully they will celebrate another championship once it is over.
