Things have turned a bit rainy in and around the Chicago area. It didn’t really affect the games last night, but I think they have the potential to mess with things tonight.
Also, I received word from the Baseball Zealot had the podcast up with my interview on it. I will make another post about that, but I just wanted to mention it again, well, because it’s cool.
THE NORTHERN LEAGUE
Gary Southshore Railcats and Schaumburg Flyers
The two teams faced off again and this one went into extra innings again. This time it took eleven innings before the 4 - 4 tie was broken by the Flyers.
FINAL SCORE: Railcats 4 Flyers 5
The Joliet Jackhammers
The RedHawks and Jackhammers battled again last night. The Jackhammers have proven to have a bit of spunk in them since the All-Star break. They managed to defeat the RedHawks again last night
FINAL SCORE: Jackhammers 11 RedHawks 8
THE FRONTIER LEAGUE
The Windy City Thunderbolts
The Thunderbolts used the poor, pathetic Slippery Rock Sliders for batting practice during last night’s game. The pounded the worst team in the league for 16 runs and then shut out the Sliders.
FINAL SCORE: Thunderbolts 16 Sliders 0
The Rockford Riverhawks
The Wild Things came back after the night before when the Riverhawks handed them a defeat and began slugging away at the Rockford team. They managed to get 10 runners across the plate, which the Riverhawks managed only 3.
FINAL SCORE: Riverhawks 3 Wild Things 10
THE MIDWEST LEAGUE (AFFILIATED TEAM)
The Kane County Cougars
The Cougars and all of the Midwest League had Wednesday night off. The Cougars are in South Bend again tonight.
