Sorry I am so late in posting this information. This is the problem when you have a one man operation. When that one man has to deal with car trouble, the site doesn’t get updated until the middle of the afternoon.
I am also starting to worry that I jinxed the Windy City Thunderbolts. I was even considering going to a game this Friday. It is free RC Cola hat night at Hawk-Ford Field this Friday. If past hat giveaways there are any indication, this will be pretty cool. I hope I see you out there.
THE NORTHERN LEAGUE
The Schaumburg Flyers and Gary SouthShore Railcats
The Flyers managed to take this game from the Railcats. The Railcats continue to make moves to improve their lineup and pitching staff. I will have more on that later.
FINAL SCORE: Flyers 5 Railcats 2
The Joliet Jackhammers
The Jackhammers seem to be having a good time pounding on the Kansas City T-Bones these days. I think they could use the ego boost, personally.
FINAL SCORE: Jackhammers 11 T-Bones 9
THE FRONTIER LEAGUE
The Windy City Thunderbolts
The Thunderbolts have been struggling against the River City Rascals very suddenly. Again, I fear the curse of me! They managed to cut the Rascal’s score in half last night, but it was not enough.
FINAL SCORE: Thunderbolts 4 Rascals 8
The Rockford Riverhawks
The Riverhawks let a chance to make up some ground against the Thunderbolts slip away last night. Considering they were playing the dreadful Gateway Grizzlies, that is very unfortunate.
FINAL SCORE: Riverhawks 6 Grizzlies 7
THE MIDWEST LEAGUE (AFFILIATED TEAMS)
The Kane County Cougars
The Cougars are on a streak right now. Unfortunately, it’s a losing streak. They lost their third game in a row last night as they opened a series against the West Michigan Whitecaps.
FINAL SCORE: Cougars 3 White Caps 6
I will have more for you later this week. I have some important articles to write and publish this week to help you with your venture into the minor leagues. I just need to get the time to writ them. In the meantime, feel free to spread the word about Chicago Minor League Report.
